Well the Christmas season is here again! Hustle and bustle of people trying to buy last minute gifts for those they love. Stress and anxiety is all around. Stress not only brought on by the usual holiday stress, but extra stress due to the thousands of people that are contracting and dying with the dreadful, deadly virus, Covid-19. People all around the world have been, and are being, affected by this awful virus…whether they themselves or their loved ones have struggled with it…or if they’ve lost a family member, friend, co-worker, or someone else they cared for, to death.
2020 has definitely been one for the books, so to speak. The pandemic this world has been in the middle of this year has brought so much change to everyone’s life…some more than others. It has taken so many lives, left many jobless and homeless, and caused much pain and heartache. All of these things indicate increased stress for everyone! What in the world can we do while living in the midst of all this chaos? First, we ourselves must put our faith and trust in God!
Before studying God’s word this morning, I prayed and asked Him to send me what I needed to hear. Needless to say, He never disappoints! He reminded me that He is a God of grace and mercy. His constant, deep, and unfailing love for me, tells me He has my back. His greatest gift of grace to me was salvation! And in trying times, while stumbling through this sinful life, I pray that He will help me to experience and recognize His grace in each and every struggle. He summed up my study this morning by awakening my mind to my favorite verse in the bible.
2 Corinthians 12:9a “My grace is sufficient for you, for my strength is made perfect in weakness.”
Thank you so much Lord and Father for the grace You bestow upon me that is always sufficient. Please help me to always remember that You are all I ever need! All praise and glory to my Heavenly Father that extends His grace and mercy to all who are willing to receive it! ?
Throughout the season and the rest of 2020, I pray for healing, comfort and peace to all. And I pray that you will remember that His grace is sufficient for YOU!
