How painful it must have been
For Mary to watch her son die for others' sins
As His body was ravaged, His flesh was torn
I wonder if she ever wished, in that agonizing moment,
that she would've never been born
Her perfect little boy, she once swaddled in her arms
Was now in the midst of harm in a crowd of angry arms
The torture He endured for sinners, such as I,
Surely broke his mother's heart and brought countless
tears to her eyes
I have never walked in Mary's personal shoes
But she and I have shared some of the same emotions
that are far worse than just "the blues"
Praise God we don't have to endure these sorrows forevermore
For the Bible says all things, He shall restore
He has promised to, one day, wipe all of our tears away
There will be no more death, sorrow, crying or pain, for the
former things will all be passed away! (Revelation 21:4)
