School has started back and my home is finally settling back into routine. Don’t get me wrong, I love summer and being able to spend time with my family, but I’m usually ready for the chaos to end right about the time they go back to school. I’m an introvert, so I have to have my alone time to recharge! It’s extremely hard to do that when you always have people around you. I love those sweet little voices calling for “mama” and “honey”, but sometimes I just need to hear silence. My goal is to now spend more time writing and blogging so as to follow the direction God is leading me in. My prayer is that I will be able to fulfill His purpose for my life. I covet your prayers as I move forward and try to be obedient and stay dedicated. I shared with you previously that God had called me to write/blog and maybe even speak. Looking back on my life, he has been training me for many years for this. Lately, He has really been speaking to me about becoming more serious in this ministry. Almost daily, I stumble across (not really….he puts in front of me) more information about writing. He has been showing me more about how to write…how to connect more with my readers…how to reach more people…how to share my pain and problems and how HE has turned them into a purpose. I have been struggling for many years now with not knowing what He was calling me to do. I am finally sure that I am going in the direction which He is leading me. I feel like He has equipped me with much that I can share, as well as a passion for writing and helping others.

Maybe you’re wondering how I know for sure that I’m going in the right direction. Maybe you’re wondering how YOU can know for sure that you are going in the direction God wants you to. Well there are many ways to help you discover God’s purpose for your life. Two seemingly obvious ways would be to go to God in prayer and to dig into His word. Also, try to determine what your strengths and gifts are. Discover what you’re passionate about. Talk with fellow Christians. God will bring people into your life to help guide you in finding your purpose. Proverbs 11:14 says, Where there is no counsel, the people fall; But in the multitude of counselors there is safety. He definitely has a plan and purpose for each of us. Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Proverbs 19:21 says, Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the LORD’S purpose that prevails. Maybe it would do you good to get away from everything and spend some time in prayer and God’s word without distractions. But in the end, it all boils down to putting your trust in God! He will lead you where He wants you to go! Proverbs 3:5-6 says, Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. Psalm 25:4-5 says, Show me Your ways, O Lord; Teach me Your paths. Lead me in Your truth and teach me, For You are the God of my salvation; On You I wait all the day. I hope each of you seek out and discover God’s plan and purpose for your life and allow God to lead you.
