It has been a hobby, and passion of mine, to write poems and journal since I was a teenager.  With the ups and downs that I often experience, related to my loss and illnesses, it helps my emotional and mental health. I’ve always been able to express myself better through writing, rather than talking.

A poem is a way of putting your emotions into words. When I am depressed and emotionally stressed is when I’m motivated the most to write. Therefore, a lot of my poems are written out of deep heartfelt emotions which I am experiencing at that moment (e.g., sadness, anger, pain, anxiety and grief).
